Open Water Potency (such as reservoir and river) in West Java Province is 20.000 tons, while which is utilized is 7.149.23 or just 35, 75 percent.
Brackish Water-Culture
The pbtency of brackish water-pond in West Java is very large. The land which is opened for brackish water-pond along northern coastal water written is 75.176 ha. From the existing land this time, the total which is still utilized is 39.928 Ha and the remaining is not utilize optimally. The development of brackish water-pond in future has good prospect, tat needed the comprehensive and simultaneous management for the existence of many problems which is often emerge due to developmentbf brackish water-pond such as environmentally problems, diseases, the fluctuation of international price, and also added with the existence of very strong export requirement from international world. Inthis time, in the effort of using unproductive brackish water-pond, there is effort to develop the sea weed in the brackish water-pond. This development takes place in
Bekasi Regency.
